Biography: Dr. Marty Klein has been a California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Certified Sex Therapist for 27 years, devoting himself to helping people understand and accept their sexuality. Through writing, lectures, and public policy work, Marty continually calls attention to the social and political conditions that keep so many of us feeling guilty, confused, scared, and hopeless about our sexual feelings and relationships. Marty has trained tens of thousands of professionals in the U.S. and in a dozen countries including Morocco, Turkey, Croatia, and the USSR.
Marty has written six books (see www.sexed.org/books.html), including the award-winning America's War On Sex, with a foreword by ACLU President Nadine Strossen (see www.WarOnSex.com ). His website contains an archive of original articles about sexuality, and answers to sex questions raised by his patients.
Marty has been honored by the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality, American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, & Therapists, and California Association of Marriage & Family Therapists.
He publishes a popular monthly newsletter ( www.SexualIntelligence.org) and thrice-weekly blog (www.MartyKlein.com). Like all of Marty's work, they both examine sexuality, politics, culture, and the media in dramatically honest and savagely funny ways.
