Andrew T. Goldstein, M.D.Speciality: Female Sexual Dysfunction View this expert's archive  Biography: Dr Andrew Goldstein grew up in Bridgeton, New Jersey and graduated from the University of Virginia in 1989 and the University of Virginia School of Medicine in 1994. While studying medicine in Virginia, Dr. Goldstein also worked as a concert promoter, promoting such diverse concerts as Ray Charles, Run DMC, and the 10,000 Maniacs. After finishing medical school, Dr. Goldstein moved to New York City where he pursued his internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Beth Israel Medical Center. During the busy years of medical training, he found time to participate in a medical exchange program with the All India Institute of Medical Science in New Delhi, India where he spent three months practicing obstetrics. After completing his medical training, Dr Goldstein moved to Annapolis, Maryland. In 1999 he co-founded the Sexual Wellness Center (SexualWellnessCenter.com) and joined the faculty of the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and belongs to the National Vulvodynia Foundation, the Female Sexual Function Forum, and the Society for Sexual Therapy and Research. He recently authored a chapter on female sexual dysfunction for the Johns Hopkins Manual of Gynecology and Obstetrics and is currently working on his book Finding Your Lost Libido. He has lectured frequently on the subjects of birth control, menopausal health, and female sexual dysfunction. In his free time, Dr. Goldstein loves to spend time with his wife Gail, a dermatologist, and his two beautiful (and brilliant) daughters. He enjoys skiing, going to concerts, and collecting wine.
