Logan Levkoff, M.S., Ph.D. candidateView this expert's archive  Website: loganlevkoff.com CetificationsCommunity HIV/AIDS Educator Biography: Adolescent sexual health educator and candid sexologist Logan Levkoff began her career in sexual health education as a peer AIDS educator in high school and by facilitating sexual health workshops in college. She has since used many diverse venues to develop her skill. From classes in private New York City high schools to straightforward dialogues on Oprah, MTV, and numerous talk shows, Logan encourages frank, open discussion of sexuality, intimacy, relationships and sexual health in an approachable, responsible manner.
Currently, Logan is working with students at many prestigious private schools in Manhattan; she designs and executes a curriculum targeted to address the media's public acknowledgment of young adolescent sexual experimentation. In the coming months, Logan will continue to expand her curricula for additional students and schools in the New York area.
Before her roles in New York's independent schools, Logan was trained as a Community HIV / AIDS educator. She taught workshops and classes for North Shore University Hospital's Peer AIDS Education programs targeting high school students across Long Island. Logan also developed a comprehensive curriculum for the young women at the Inwood House, a New York City maternity residence for pregnant teens.
In addition to her public appearances, lectures and workshops, Logan has published many articles on hot topics such as sexually transmitted diseases, contraception and more, illustrating not only her commitment to improving communication about sexuality, but also her ability to relate to a diverse audience dealing with a broad spectrum of issues. Logan has proven herself a true radio personality with appearances on local stations along the East Coast discussing safe sex and sexual health. Logan is dedicated to perpetuating healthy and positive messages about sexuality to people of all ages and backgrounds. She can speak truthfully on a wide range of issues, particularly those pertinent to teenagers and young adults.
Logan Levkoff received her B.A. in English and her M.S. in Human Sexuality Education from the University of Pennsylvania and is a doctoral candidate in Human Sexuality, Marriage and Family Life Education at New York University. In 1997, Logan also received certification as an HIV / AIDS educator from the New York State Department of Health. She was raised on Long Island and now resides in New York City.
