In order to educate myself before answering your question I did some reading on the condition of autism. Considering the issues that have to be assessed in planning an effective intervention for an adolescent living with Autism I suggest you contact the Autism Society of America. They offer professional help and forums for families to share information. http://www.autism-society.org/site/PageServer Additionally, you might go to the website of an organization, the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists, (www.aasect.org). On their home page all the states of the U.S. are indicated on a map. You could contact several of the sexuality specialists listed and see if any of them can recommend resources in your locale who work with this issue. There are techniques for teaching a child to masturbate privately and appropriately. Since one child with autism can be so different from another, you almost need a person who has worked with chronic conditions to help you and this specific child learn appropriate behaviors. They can be taught.
