Morning erections are not necessary observed every day but are noticed from time to time if you by chance wake up through a certain phase of sleep known as the ‘rapid eye movement phase’. If morning erections were noticed occasionally, the problem would most probably be psychological. Sexual complaints at your age are usually related to an anxiety problem rather than to any physical disorder. I suggest you discuss your concerns with your parents and possibly visit a psychiatrist to assess your possible anxiety problem. Best wishes, Hussein Ghanem MD
