Question:
I am not the most experienced when it comes to sexual intercourse ,and I am thoroughly anxious and panicky about having intercourse.When attempts are sometimes made I clam up and it someimes has been impossible. I get scared and I just cannot go through with it,or,if I do,it hurts terribly!!

Hi, I suspect (although I have no clinical studies to prove so) that your experience is quite normal among young (and even older) women. I have addressed a similar question to this before and would recommend that you read my advice to this other young woman. Her question is not quite the same because she is also wondering if she might be a lesbian, but she also has a lot of anxiety around sex and I address that in my answer.
