Hi! Thanks for your question. Sounds like this is a frustrating situation. While most of the literature and research indicate that penis size does not shrink after spinal cord injury, many men report a similar experience that you describe. There is not a medication or surgical procedure to enlarge your penis. There are ways to help with erection size and hardness. If you haven't discussed this already with your urologist, I would make an appointment. Penile vacuum pumps work to bring blood into the penis and hold it there while you engage in intercourse. Other options include Viagra (if your doc approves of this with yoir particular injury), and different types of injections that can be used to help strengthen your erection. Talk with your girlfriend about this issue. Let her know that you care about her and that you would like for your sex life to improve. Perhaps she might be open to going to the urologist with you for a consultation. Other options may be to incorporate sex toys (dildos) into your sexual activity. I know that this is not exactly the same as using your penis but it may be one way to help with pleasuring your partner with vaginal penetration. Good Luck! Dr. Mona
