My Boyfriend and I have been together for 7 years, he's 28. when we would have sex his erection would last between 20 to some times 40 min. Now it only last for 3-5 min while engaging in sex. His he past his peak and now plateued?

It is easier to explain ejaculations occuring within 3 to 5 minutes because this is average and, therefore, "normal." It is more unusual that a young man will last 30 to 40 minutes with steady thrusting. If I had to guess, I would guess that your boyfriend was lasting longer in the beginning because you were having sex more often, and if the frequency dropped, I would expect him to orgasm more rapidly. At any rate, 3 to 5 minutes is average. If the two of you want to prolong intercourse, you will both need to learn and practice the techniques for gaining ejaculatory control. The homework is easy and, best of all, it is fun.
