Thank you for writing. I would be concerned as well, though you may consider that they really aren't doing what they say they are doing but enjoy getting you upset, so they make up stories.
It isn't easy to get a dog involved in anal sex with a person because they have to find ways to stimulate the dog to have erections. The pheromones that bitches in heat send off are not easy to duplicate. They may only be able to physically stimulate the dog somewhat.
They can't get AIDS from a dog but they certainly can get other disease organisms in the rectum/anus that can make them ill. It is not a healthy safe practice to engage in anal sex with an unwilling partner, which most dogs would be.
If it is happening with other humans, then using a latex condom and lots of water-based lubricant is what is healthiest. The lubricant so the rectum doesn't get torn or rubbed raw. Since there is not natural lubricant in the rectum it is important to get the water-based (washes out easily) lubricant to make it slippery and save the skin from damage.
I hope this is helpful information for you to use with your friends. If you have other questions please feel free to write back. I am glad to answer all kinds of questions.Reviewed by Sexual Health Editorial Team
