Ok- I know you've heard it before but in order not to get someone pregnant you either need to not have sex or use birth control correctly. Enough of the preaching though-I'll get right to the point.
It is unlikely to get a woman pregnant from precum, but it could happen. If you are at all concerned about her getting pregnant though and you didn't use the birth control exactly the way it is prescribed, get the morning after pill or EC (emergancy Contraception). Taken within 120 hours after intercourse, a woman takes the two pills together) it can prevent pregnancy by anywhere from 75-90%. You can even get a prescription for it ahead of time so if an accident happens, and accidents happen to everyone, you are prepared. You can get EC only by prescription, so head on over to your nearest Planned Parenthood (www.ppfa.org) and get yourself some of these life saving pills!
Just for your info too, they do not cause an abortion, they prevent a pregnancy from STARTING. If you are already pregnant before you take the pills, you willlikely remain pregnant, so there is no known harm in taking them.
Good luck and thanks for writing in!Reviewed by: Patricia Fawver Ph.D. in Sexology
