Question:
i masturbated the other week. later, i found out one of my housemates also did, and possibly touched some the the stuff (ie the faucet, remote control, etc.) afterwards. if there was still sperm on the faucet or tap, could i become pregnant if it got onto my hands before i masturbated?

Ok, there is very little chance that you could become pregnant from this. If he masturbated, he most likely wiped the semen off himself with a tissue. So, when he touched the faucet, no sperm would be present. But just for kicks, let's say that he didn't-be a devil's advocate here. He masturbates, doesn't wipe the semen off his hands and then goes and touches the faucet handle. You go over, touch the faucet and wash your hands-sperm is gone. In fact, let's even say you touched the remote and didn't wash your hands. You would have to notice a wetness, residue on the remote, to have the sperm be alive. Sperm need to have semen to travel and they die when the semen has dried up. End of story. If something is wet and you touch it in your house, just for hygenic reasons, go wash your hands. But you can breathe deeply now knowing the chances of you becoming pregnant from this are almost zilch. However, if you worry, your period can come late-just a warning. Stress can delay or even cause one to miss their period. So no stressing, ok? Thanks for writing in and relax and masturbate away!
