Question:
My gf and I were having some fun between us the other night. We did several things, but I would like to mention ask is: we had vaginal sex on and off I believe 3 times, and only for a short time each, so I would not ejaculate, because we didn't have a condom with us...but each time I stopped, only I did things to her, until I felt I can go on again...what I would like to know is if during this off and on process if the precum could get mixed with the actual sperm, and if so would it be able to live still (I've read that precum is either acidy or base to neutralize the vagina's acidity). After we stopped vaginal...practices we continued until I did ejaculate, which took about half of the entire time... I've looked around for anything that could help me with this question, and haven't found anything...so hopefully you can help... Thanks

So, what I like to call the "the dip dip" is not a very effective form of birth control. The courts are stacked in both sides of this issues, meaning some people say that precum has the potential to cause a pregnancy, some say it does not. When in doubt, I say go with the choice that gives you the most protection. Precum is created to neutralize the urine that may be in the urethra of the male. Some people think that sperm get into precum though, and at higher concentrations, making pregnancy more likely than actual sperm in ejaculation. Other people think that sperm is only in ejaculation, but sperm is strong. You could get someone pregnant from it as long as it is wet and gets near the vaginal opening. Your girlfriend not having her period last month makes me nervous. A woman does notusually stop having her period just because she doesn't eat a lot (unless it is a fairly exteme situation). There can be many reasons one skips bleeding, stress, pregnancy, birth control devices, but just not eating a lot is usually not one of them. Losing most of your body fat due to anorexia is another reason. If I were you two, I would head over to the nearest Planned Parenthood and get a pregnancy test and some extra condoms for those times you want to romp, but have nothing on you. Yes, pulling out is a better method than just "cuming" or ejaculating inside of her, but it can still cause a pregnancy approx 25% of the time. So that's my advice, no more dip dip action without a raincoat, get some free extra condoms and have a pregnancy test done. Good Luck! Megan Andelloux
