Question:
Me and my boyfriend tried to have sex but he couldn't get it in. He had a condom on but eventually we gave up. He ejaculated into the condom and we flushed it. I told him to wipe it before he got on the bed again. However, we started dry humping for a while and he got hard again and he wanted to try again but it still didnt go in. I'm not sure if there was sperm on the tip of his penis when it touched my vagina. Could i be pregnant? Please help me.. im 15! Can you tell me why it won't go in either?

Hello. From what you have described, there could be a possiblity of pregnancy if sperm had access into the vagina. When the penis becomes erect, the wet area on the tip can contain some sperm, but if he did not enter you, this would lower the risk of pregnancy, but not eliminate it. You may want to consider an alternative contraceptive, such as the Pill or such, in the event you forget to put the condom on. As far as him not being able to enter you, I would have to ask if you have ever had sex before where the penis entered your vagina? If not, your hymen may be blocking the vaginal opening. This tissue is typically present at birth for women, and may tear with physical exercise or not. Sometimes there is enough room for a tampon and the hymen can still be intact. Sometimes, the tissue will not break during intercourse and an incision needs to made by a doctor. Usually, the tissue will tear once penetration occurs and there are some manual stretching exercises you can try at home to reduce the discomfort of the tissue being torn through intercourse if your boyfriend should enter you. To do the exercises, insert a lubricated finger (with saliva or a water-based lube, like K-Y jelly) into the vaginal opening and press downward until you feel some stretching. After a few seconds, release the pressure and relax. Repeat this step several times. Next, insert two fingers into the vagina and stretch the sides of the vagina by opening the fingers. Repeat the downward stretching with two fingers also. This may help you prepare for intercourse as well as reduce pain if you are a virgin and the hymen is still intact. Remember, condoms will only help prevent pregnancy if they are used every single time. This is why another type of birth control is good planning. Good luck and write back if you need to!
