Question:
My girlfriend is unable to use contraceptives as this may cause problems with pregnancy later due to earlier problems. I produce a lot of precum and there is concern over whether she will become pregnant. Could you tell me whether this is likely and whether I can get the precum analysed in order to determine whether there are sperm in my precum?

When you write that your girlfriend cannot use contraceptives, you don't mention which ones she cannot use. From your description I am assuming that she cannot use hormonal kinds, such as the Pill. There are other kinds that don't interfere with an eventual pregnancy such as latex condoms, or the female polyurethane Reality condom. Both can block any precum that you might produce. I also am assuming that you are using withdrawal of the penis from the vagina before ejaculation as birth control, since you are concerned about precum causing the pregnancy. The best way to eliminate the fear of pregnancy from precum is to use a condom until after you withdraw. Certainly you could have precum analysed to see what the sperm count was IN THAT ONE PRECUM, but there is no way of knowing what the next one might contain. Any amount of sperm in the precum might cause a pregnancy, so taking the risk of letting any into the vagina is risky. I would suggest that you consider using condoms so that you are better protected.
