Question:
I have been reading some of the responses you and some of the other experts on here have given about pre-ejaculation and pregnancy. My girlfirend and I are both over the age of 20 i 24 and she 21. we were doing some kissing and heavy panting and that lead to my bonehead idea of putting the tip of my penis just inside her vagina and moving around a bit. i had a grip on my penis, in an attempt to maybe hold back anything that might come out. I could feel the cum start at the bottom part of my penis and so i pulled out and had my penis over her stomach about belly button before anything started shooting out. i had not ejaculated before trying that idea, and when i have masterbated on my own before i have never seen pre-cum exiting my penis.

I have read your explination of precum and by your definition there should not have been any live sperm inside my penis. I had peed several times that day.

I know i am going to marry this girl, but she is finishing school this semester and will be starting a job in the summer, i am in no financial position to provide for a baby. I know it was a stupid mistake and i should have been the man and stopped things before they got too far. My question is, with all the differing opinions on if it does or if it dosent, can you tell me a scientific truth. her scheduled period is next thursday and so there is going to be a lot of anxiety between here and there. Thank you for listening.

Thanks for your question. Since it is almost Thursday, maybe your anxiety has been relieved already. I can't tell you that there is absolutely no chance of a pregnancy when the tip of the penis goes into the vagina, as you described. There is a chance, but it should be a small one. There isn't likely to be a lot of sperm in the pre-cum but if there was the start of an ejaculation, it doesn't take much semen to have a million sperm in it. There is also the possibility of sexually transmitted infection, if you have ever been involved sexually with someone before. That is why there is much talk about making sure you are both protected. Using latex or polyurethane condoms are almost mandatory these days.

I know that pregnancy is your major concern for the moment, and now all you can do is wait and see. As you describe the cum you could feel, that probably was not just pre-cum.

You mentioned that you don't see pre-cum when you masturbate, and that is why most don't even know it exists. For some men there isn't much and you can't feel it.

I hope that in the future you will be more protected so that you don't have to go through the worry that you are now. My fingers are crossed for you!

Thanks for writing.
