Question:
I have been married for 10 years and in the last 4 years or so I will find myself attempting to have sex with my wife in the middle of our sleeping. Usually 2-4 in the morning. Most times I don't rember my attempts. I have on ocasion woke up out of this sleep sex state and sometimes can rember it in the morning. We never do go through with the act. In fact I am told my penis is usualy flacid at this time. My wife simply roles me off of her and I go right back into deep sleep. What is wrong with me and have you ever heard of such a thing ?

Although the actions might be different, I think there may be similarities in the manifestation of this behavior to a prvious question I answered about "sleep sex". Please read the following: http://sexualhealth.com/question.php?Action=read&question_id=10099 I think it may simply be a disruption in your sleep pattern. If it happens often enough that either your partner or you finds it disturbing, I would follow up with a local clinic. Otherwise, it might just be a benign sleep behavior.
