Dear Sir: Masturbation does not affect the production of sperm. However you have reported that you masturbate 3-4 times a day. I wonder if it interfers with other activities and with your quality of life? You are very worried about it. You want to cut back but I wonder if you feel you can? In your culture, you may have more free time to be alone and mastrubate so it may be more difficult to stop. Also because you do not have intercourse before marriage, it makes it difficult not to enjoy orgasms when you want to. Perhaps, instead of trying to stop all together, you could try to reduce it to once a day. Your anxiety about it could become worse and also cause depression. It is no fun to be so worried about a sexual activity that is not harmful to do ocassionally. I have no doubt that a little counseling could help you a great deal. I have a resource in India which would be very useful. You can email him for some information or for a resource near you. His address is : drpkothari@hotmail.com. Good luck and take care of yourself.
