Question:
After ejaculation, how long (MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF TIME) can sperm survive outside the body and still remain viable to cause pregnancy if introduced into the vagina?

Thanks for your question. It is a difficult one to answer because there are so many variables here. If there is an ejaculation outside of the body, so much depends on what happens to the semen that sperm is living in. Once the semen begins to dry up, there is no way sperm lives. If water or soap or clothes are introduced to the semen, sperm can't live either.

It has been theorized that sperm can live up to 72 hours, but that is laboratory conditions AND there is no real way to know how long it lives inside the body. Because it is all happening inside an area that can't seem the microscopic sperm, the answer to your question is almost impossible to give.

If you have other questions or want to know something I didn't discuss here please feel free to write again.
