Question:
Some time ago I contacted Sexualhealth.com regarding the side effects that Phenytoin has on libido. I received a very good answer and I've typed the URL above. I went to my GP as I would like to have this included in my medical record. He was reluctant to help. My question is, should I have my sperm tested? I have no partner at present but am reluctant to start a relationship if I'm going to have problems on the sexual side of things.

A semen analysis would give an idea ablout your fertility potential but is not directly related to your sexual function. Currently advances in the evaluation and treatment of male sexual dysfunctions allow finding a therapy for most cases of Erectile Dysfunction (ED).

Since your concern about your function has persisted for quite some time, I advise you to visit an expert in sexual medicine for a proper evaluation that would proably include a full history taking, a focused physical examination and specific tests if needed to diagnose the cause of your problem as well as any reversible or modifiable risk factors to initiate appropriate treatment as needed.
