Antiviral drugs, like Zovirax, Valtrex, and Famvir, are the most effective forms of healing and relieving herpes sores. They may even shorten teh duration of an outbreak. As far as natural remedies go, pretty much the only remedy available to you would be to apply compresses of black tea to sores, or to take a baking soda bath, to help relieve the itching. Keeping the area clean and dry, plus wearing cotton underwear also help the sores to heal faster.
