Question:
Our 15 year old son told my husband and me that in the past few days when he has masterbated, he has reached an orgasm but has not ejaculated; nothing came out of his penis. He was not trying to do this purposefully, although he is aware of techniques for men to do in order to have multiple orgasms. My husband and I had never heard of this happening without the intention of it happening. What do you think?

Usually, by the age of 15, most boys attain puberty (complete sexual maturity), however, there are cases wherein onset of puberty can be delayed. If this is the first time your son has experienced orgasms, they could be ‘dry orgasms’. These are normal in pre-pubertal males wherein the sexual maturity is yet to be attained. There is no need to get agitated. Give him some more time. Discuss this issue with your doctor if he is unable to ejaculate after the age of 18 years.
