Question:
My question would be this, after sex my labia and whole vaginal area swell and stay swollen for atleast a day, it is extremely painful to urinate and my crotch feels like it's on fire. I have never been premiscuos. I have only had sex with my husband. Can you tell me what's going on?

It sure sounds like you're not feeling too well. There are a few reasons why you might be experiencing the symptoms that you are. I'm not sure if you've seen your gynecologist, but its important to make sure that you don't have a bacterial or yeast infection. Also, if you are using condoms or special lubricants, you might be experiencing an allergy to latex or some chemicals in the lubricants. If all of this gets ruled out, you might want to read up on a condition called vulvar vestibulitis. This is an inflammation of the little glands that sit right at the opening of the vagina. Try linking into nva.org, they should have some more additional info. At any rate, please get checked out by a gynecologist. Good luck.
