Question:
I have two concerns: First, I'm only 23, I exercise pretty regularly, my blood pressure is fine, I eat pretty well, I have a great relationship with my wife, and we had our first child on November 13. My problem is, I am having difficulty getting and maintaining an erection. I was very excited for us to get past the six week waiting period so that we could regain our sexual intimacy, but I have only been able to get one good erection since that time. I have had this problem occasionally in the past as well. What can I do? My second question is this: my penis is fairly small, only about 4.5-5 inches when erect (I think, I haven't measured it like others). My wife and I would like to try a few additional positions, but its difficult sometimes because of my size. Therefore, I am interested in penis enlargement, but only if it can be done non-surgically. There are many websites claiming they can increase the size of the penis through manual methods and such. Are any of these sites telling the truth? If so, which ones are they? Last, are they safe? I know you are busy, but I would really appreciate an answer. I have spent many, many hours on the web trying to find answers to these questions, and I haven't found any satisfactory answers. If you could, please answer these questions and let me know, I would very much appreciate it.

hi mathew: let me try and answer your questions in order. 1) first of all, difficulties with achieveing and maintaining an erection can occur for a number of reasons. typically, men have difficulties with these issues around times of stress, changes in their life, depression, anxiety, etc if the onset is recent and out of the blue. sonds like you have a lot going on in your life which may explain your difficulties. just to be safe, you could make an appointment w/ your urologist or primary care physcian to have your testosterone levels checked. you may also want to make an appointment with a sex therapist to help you learn some ways to avoid stressful thoughts during sexual activity and to get your sexual health back on track. as far as your second question goes: your penis size is average. most men have penis sizes between 3.5 to 5.5 inches. there is no known way of enlarging the penis. all of the herbs, vitamins, or other suggested remedies are simply gimmicks. Hope that helps, Dr. Mona
