How good is a blood test for genital herpes?

It is very accurate. The blood test will tell you if you have Herpes Simplex I or II or both, but it cannot tell you where...in otherwords, if you discover you have Herpes Simplex I, usually seen as cold sores, you may actually have this on outbreak on the genitals from being passed through oral sex. The test can be obtianed from your local STD Clinic or a doctor's office and may cost $100 or more.
