Question:
my fiance recently noticed a new bump/lump on the right side, on the shaft, of his penis just under the hood. the bump/lump is flesh colored, 1/2 inch in diameter, and is as soft and as smooth as the rest of his penis. there has been no abnormal discharge or odor before or since the bump/lump appeared. he says he is pain and itch free, and in his own words, "feels perfectly normal as though it wasn't there." we are currently not sexually active in any sense of the word. although we both have had other partners in the past. his last partner was about 1 year ago and was unprotected. he is not circumsized and maintains proper genetal hygene. he does however masterbate agresivly on a daily basis (about 2 or more times a day)which leaves his penis sore and very sensative. he has also begun using a new type of lotion during masterbation. the lotion is called "Velon: skin care with vitamin E." we are wondering what causes could have created this bump/lump (the 1st and hopefully only of its kind). be it from the agressive masterbation, the new lotion he is using, the unproteced sex, a natural occurance to the male genetalia, or a combination of these and/or other things? he will be leaving for basic training with the air force in 2 weeks. he has a scheduled examination the day before he leaves. what questions and/or concerns should he discus during the examination? how should he go about discribing the bump/lumpif it has gone away by the time of the examination? are there specific test he should inquire about? as well as your thoughts and advice, can u suggest any referense material (such as literature, photographs, or exams specific to the male genetalia? thank u very much for your time

Sorry for the delay in answering your question. Due to technical difficulties I have not been online and was unaware there were questions waiting. Could you please tell me if this 'lump' is still an issue? Cheers, Melissa BEE
