Question:
Hi! My concerns are basicly that I seem to have many of the symptoms associated with hiv. I have had unprotected sex on a few occasions when I was 18 to 19 and nieve. I am now 20 and much more careful when having sex (always with girls). I have had variuos tests for hiv/aids and other sti's which have come out negative. However, I have the following symptoms: *itchy genitals *strange sensations throughout body and in testicles and penis *constant chronic itching all over the body *body extremely sensitive to any touch *uncontrollable shaking of the body *twitching of the body *insomnia *wake up sweating soaking wet *always tired when awake *lack of every *loss of appetite *weight loss *feel sick often *sperm is lumpy and stringy *....and im sure ive missed a few others! I have been diagnosed as having depression but surely that does not explain all of the symtoms im having. Anti depressants does not seem to have stopped these symptoms. I feel so ill and I am so confused as to what is wrong with me. Please help! Many thanks! .........................

If you have been tested twice and the tests have come out negative, then it is likely you are STI free. However, the symptoms you mention (including depression) are ones that are sometimes listed in connection with candidiasis (yeast) and parasites. Have your physician (it's best if you can find one that is sensitive to holistic care because they are more interested and aware of the effects of these conditions on the body) test you (through blood, saliva or stool) for parasites and candida. And of course search the web for more information on these chronic immune system compromisers. I hope this answer leads you to some deeper answers that put you on the road to recovering your immunity and your sex life.
