Question:
About a month or so ago, I noticed a small, sort of hard white colored bump, on the underside of the penis at the base (about where the scrotum and penis meet), I thought possibly an STD, but I seen no other bumps, and it didnt hurt or itch, so I figured I would just "wait and see" if it anything else happened. Recently, I heard rumor that the last girl I slept with could have possibly had/has an STD. I got HIV/Syphillis tested Thursday and am awaiting results. But this bump, it has now gotten bigger, its sort of painful if its pressed, and it kinda itches when i touch it. Im not sure if theres puss, but its sorta got a "bullet" shape to it... can you help me possibly identify what this MIGHT be? Thanks very much, i look foward to the response.

Any swelling or bump should be checked by a physician to establish a diagnosis and prescribe proper treatment. Many conditions could be related to your complaint including genital warts (Human papilloma virus infection). Left untreated it might grow, spread along the genitals, infect other partners & HPV has been related to the development of certain tumors. My advice is to see a urologist or dermatologist right away to confirm a diagnosis and start therapy. Best wishes, Hussein Ghanem MD
