Question:
this is how it goes...i'm chinese and when my family eats dinner...we use chop sticks...my chop stick wasn't extremely wet...just a little moist...extremely little moist..i picked up a piece of meat and dip it into a bowl of sauce..just seconds later..my mom dips into the same bowl of sauce...so basically there was extremely a low amount of blood....an extremely amount of blood was present (i don't know...just assuming)...it's like licking your own fingers and look at the moist on it...that's how moist my chops sticks were....so my mom has no chance of infection right? assuming i'm infected with hiv..
thank you again.

Tom, you sent 2 nearly identical questions so I’ll just respond to this one. Remember that unless you have VISIBLE blood in your saliva those eating with you are safe. If it is such a small amount that it can’t be seen, HIV can’t be transmitted.
Have you talked to mom about your fears? She & you can phone the National AIDS Hotline & clarify anything you need to ask. Sounds like you are splitting hairs, caused either from real worry or simply asking a rhetorical question. Believe me, if your only worry regarding HIV is eating a snack with a friend who is “somewhat sexually active” & then passing HIV on during dinner (chop sticks, forks, fingers, whatever…)—you, my friend, have very small worries.
