Question:
Does precum contain sperm?

Answer:
by Konstance McCaffree:
(06/06/2004)
Thank you for your question. In the studies that have been done which I will refer you to at the end of this answer, sperm was not found to be in pre cum (though HIV virus could be, if you were infected) which means you and your partner are not at much risk of a pregnancy even if it was her ovulation time. The only way that sperm might be present is if there had been some hidden sperm in your urethra from an earlier ejaculation.

You can look up this information in a book entitled Contraceptive TEchnology by Rkobert A. Hatcher, James Trussell, et al. It was published by Ardent Media in 1998.

I hope this relieves your concerns.
