Question:
Hi, I'm 15, and just very recently, I've discovered that I have maybe 2 or 3 really sore bumps inside my vagina lips. They look like pimples. I was wondering what they could be, or if I could treat them.

The "pimples" you describe could possibly be a sign of a herpes infection or genital warts. Herpes is often seen as painful, reddish bumps, sores, or lesions in the vagina. These bumps become blisters or sores that fill with pus and break. Other symptoms include fever, headache, swollen glands, vaginal discharge, pressure in the abdomen, and/or aches and pains.
Genital warts are flesh-colored and painless warts or bumps on the genital area. They can be itchy and painful.
Regardless of whether or not you are infected with either of these viral infections, it is a good idea to get tested. A physician can administer appropriate treatment - you can't treat yourself with such ailments. You can, however, prevent future incidences by protecting yourself and your sexual partners by using a condom.
