Question:
Please help me. My husband of 4 years has recently discovered 3 small bumps on the shaft of his penis. They are actually up in his hairline. We are both very faithful and I am scared that this might be genital warts. They do not look like any of the pictures I have seen. They are very small and have a brown color to them. They don't look like cauliflower or anything. They do however look like small warts. My husband has skin color bumps on his penis that are perfectly normal. They are like goose bumps. What do you think this could be? I am very scared.

The bumps you describe could be genital warts, or simply papules, freckles, or moles since genital warts tend to be flesh-colored. To give you a peace of mind and for your health and his, he should have the bumps examined by a physician. Should he have an HPV infection, know that an infection is not solely due to sexual activity. HPV can also be transmitted via infected towels. Thank you for visiting the Sexual Health Network.
