Thank you for your question. I wish I had a better answer for you. I can see that you have tried several things, including taking vitamins which may help improve your health. I was also going to suggest that you find an ovulation predictor kit because it is difficult to know when a person ovulates just on counting the days.

You have a longer time between periods so the ovulation time might be many different days within those 40-50 days.

You said that you had seen two gynecologists and that you seem to be fine. It is very possible that your husband's sperm is not plentiful enough or not as healthy as it must be in order to fertilize an egg.

There are many reasons that a person may not get pregnant that it is hard to eliminate all of them. I am going to give you some suggestions that I have heard from others and you may want to try them.

Being in good health is one of them. Eating well, sleeping well and relaxing is important. It may be important to NOT have intercourse daily if you have been. Storing up larger amounts of sperm may be important if your husband's sperm is not as strong. It needs to live inside of your body for several days in order to have a chance to meet with the egg, which is only present for about 24 hours. Since you have a longer time period between periods it becomes important to have sperm live inside as long as you can. Therefore, having intercourse only ever three days or so may store up sperm some. You also may want to stay laying down, and put your feet up after intercourse. These may allow the sperm to stay inside longer.

My only other suggestion is for you and your husband to relax, keep trying but in a more relaxed way, and see your doctor regularly. Being in good physical health is very important to having a healthy pregnancy when it occurs.

Thank you for writing. I wish I had more to offer you.
