Question:
Hello. My friend was embarassed to ask this so I am going to for her. she was masterbating and watching porn && decided to use a small like 10 ounce bottle of juice to stick in her vagina. she broke the seal first and emptied it of the juice and put the top back on. after masterbating however she was bleeding and she noticed that she had what looked like a cut down there & she stuck her finger up her vagina and it was bleeding up there too. once it stopped bleeding it looked sort of swelled she said && that it was redder than everything else. she wants to know if she should be worried about an infection or if this is probably just a cut from the edges on the top of the bottle. she would also like to know if she can have sex still even though its a little sore.she also wants to know if she should put some sort of ointment on it or something. i told her to go to the doctor but she insisted on asking here first. thank you for your help.

I would definitely recommend a visit to the doctor to make sure there was no damage or shards from any of the items used in the situation you have described. Using any ointment may irritate the vaginal walls as the lining can be very sensitive if the wrong type of ointment is used. Only a correctly diagnosed problem with the proper treatment is recommended. I would also suggest to not have vaginal intercourse until medical advice is obtained, in case there is trauma that needs immediate treatment, so as not to cause any further injury. Inserting objects into the vagina during masturbation is quite common, so please tell your friend not to let embarrassment prevent her from going to the doctor. Using an artificial penis (dildo) that is made of rubber or silicone with lubricant would be recommended for future use. If you click on the shopping link off our sexual health website, there are a variety of dildos and lubricants that can be purchased for sexual pleasure! Please urge your friend to seek medical treatment. Good luck.
