I have suffered with this problem for a long time now but never had the nerve or the care to really do something about it,now I am over 40 madly in love and married to the man of my dreams, and having this problem is affecting me, I have not been able to acheive orgasm,one here and there with so much effort that I want to give up, or my partner gets me on the brink of one and it goes away leaving me angry with myself. I never can acheive it when my partner is inside it does not matter how much I am enjoying the moment or what, please help me I do not want to go on like this. My husband is so wonderful and patient but it seems the problem is me. I do not want to go on in falsehood about this problem. Please help me.

Inability to experience an orgasm is a complaint of many women. Because you have never experienced an orgasm in concious state, yours can be termed as a primary anorgasmia. Many factors are responsible for women not experiencing an orgasm. I would suggest you read the book 'Becoming Orgasmic: A sexual growth program for women' by Heiman and LoPiccolo. Alternately visit Betty Dodson's website to know more about orgasms in women.
