Ask a Question
Question:
Hi,
I'm a sixteen year old virgin; but, my boyfriend and I have engaged in mutual masturbation, and during this period some of his sperm may have gotten in contact with my vagina, although the chances are slim. I wasn't concerned at all but my period is two weeks late, and usually it's on time. I feel like I'm about to get my period, but I've felt this way for about a week- my breasts ache and I keep having lower back cramps, but I still have not gotten it. Do you think it's possible that I'm pregnant, and if not what could be wrong? I'm extremely nervous, please write me back! Thank you so much!

I'm glad you took the time to write in. If some of his semen came in contact with your vagina, but was not deposited inside, the chances of your being pregnant are slim to none. Being 16, your periods may not have evened out yet, in spite of the fact that they may have appeared to be regular thus far. You also describe symptoms of pre-menstrual syndrome so chances are, it's coming.
Your period does not come on an exact timetable; there's always a little variation. In addition, there are many things that can affect it, especially diet and stress. If you're stressing about getting your period, that in itself may be enough to delay it. Give yourself another 2 weeks and, if you still haven't gotten your period, I would recommend seeing your doctor or a family planning center like Planned Parenthood. They will be able to give you more information on what may be going on.
I hope all goes well. Take care and feel free to write again. Peace
