Question:
Hello, Thanks for answering my previous questions...I am so glad that there is a reliable source like yourself to ask questions.

I have two more questions if you don't mind me asking:

1. when should a girl get paps smear done or start to go to see a gyno? I am not sexually active but i do masturbate regularly??

2. I masturbate differently then other girls as i have researched online. I do it by squeezing my thighs together. is this normal or am i harming my body. also sometimes i notice after intense masturbation that there is traces of brownish blood spot on my panties? is this normal? am i doing it too hard??

3. i was sharing food from the same plate yesterday with friends and one of them as i just discovered later thru conversation, that he has had multiple partners and had never been tested (10 ppl). now i worry about getting diseases from him having shared food with him. we were eating off the same plate and touching the same food with our forks and stuff.

Hope you can help. Thank you so very much.

Thanks again for your great questions. Let me take them one at a time.

1)when should a girl get paps smear done or start to go to see a gyno? I am not sexually active but i do masturbate regularly??

Masturbation really doesn't do anything to your body that a pap smear or seeing the gynocologist would necessitate. Usually, a pap smear and check up are suggested for the following: once you reach 18 - 20 though you have not engaged in intercourse; when you want to start on hormonal methods of birth control; if you are about to have or have had sexual intercourse; or if you have any abnormal bleeding or abdominal pains that should be checked out. Nothing in your description seems to suggest that you have any of these yet.

2. I masturbate differently then other girls as i have researched online. I do it by squeezing my thighs together. is this normal or am i harming my body.

There are many different ways that girls/women masturbate. I know that you may have learned other ways that people talk about, but I bet if you kept exploring you would find that there are plenty of others who masturbate the way you do. I can't imagine that anything you are doing would harm you, when you are squeezing your thighs. Many women, rub the clitoris with objects and vibrators, others squeeze objects, stuffed animals, etc. and others rub against furniture, or get in many other positions.

3) also sometimes i notice after intense masturbation that there is traces of brownish blood spot on my panties? is this normal? am i doing it too hard??

It is common for the skin cells in the genital area to bleed a little because there are so many blood vessels flowing into the genitals. That is part of how we get aroused, so the blood is right on the other side of a thin layer of cells when we are aroused. A few drops of brownish blood is not something to be concerned about. Chances are there is a mixing with the vaginal fluids, which also may have some color to them.

4) Your last question is about the sharing of plates, utencils and food with someone who has multiple partners. First, you don't know how well he is protected when he has multiple partners, but the major piece of information is that the germs we share with ANYONE when eating with them is not any worse because of the number of sex partners. If you are worried about HIV or sexually transmitted diseases, this is not how they transmit. The fluids need to be semen or blood, and even then the viruses are very fragile. They are not going to live on plates and in food. You don't have to worry.

Thanks for your great questions again, and feel free to ask others.
