Question:
During intercourse, I cannot feel the ejaculation of the male during penetration. Most women report feeling the heat as the man ejaculates. I can't, never have. I also usually have to masturbate myself to orgasm. This is a problem for me.

Hello, I am very gad that you have asked these questions. I would like to answer them separately. First, I have never heard of women report that they feel a sensation of heat inside their vagina during male ejaculation. Did you ask your ob/gyne about this? I have never read about this phenomenon nor have I ever heard a client report it. So if you are concerned that your medications are taking this aspect of sexual pleasure away, I think you can be assured that it is not related! When you think about it, it is fortunate that a woman's inner vagina is not sensitive to this. A vaginal delivery would be much more painful if it were the case that a woman's inner vagina were sensitive to heat! Second, about intercourse not offering a woman much chance for orgasm. This is commmon among women. Many women report that sexual feeling is mostly from their clitoris -- and having intercourse does not offer much stimulation of her clitoris! I wonder if having intercourse with the woman on top can help this, because in this position, a woman can control the amount of stimulation that is directed towards her clitoris. Also, I wonder if having oral sex (cunilingus) to a point of orgasm and then switching to vaginal intercourse would help. I would suggest using a vibrator, also -- it can be used on her clitoris during vaginal intercourse to give her the stimulation she needs to achieve orgasm. I hope that you are assured that what you report is not uncommon. I don't say this to minimize your discomfort -- but rather to reassure you that you are not alone in the experience you describe! Please try some of the things suggested here -- and let us know if you have further difficulty! Thank you again for your question! Sincerely, Susan Ludwig
