Question:
Dear doctor, I have sex realationship with my partner almost 2 years already. last three days, after I had sex with him again, I felt very tickle with my private part. So, I took a mirror and see what was happened. I was so shocked, I don't know how come my vaginal orifice, vagina and incised became white colour. And it is really tickle and suffer. I'm so worried and anxious. Doctor, can you help me? Is this very dangerous? What should I do now? Will this influence my sex relationship and others?

One likely possibility is that you may have a yeast infection, which is harmless and can be easily treated. I would recommend seeing a doctor, who can make the proper diagnosis and give you the correct treatment. It is important to see a doctor, because different infections need different treatments. But do not worry, most likely your symptoms will disappear very soon after you start treatment. Your partner probably also will need treatment. Your doctor will give you all the information you will need. You mentioned haven taken antibiotics. Sometimes yeast infections come after treatment with antibiotics. Yeast infections are not treated with antibiotics. It is most important only to take medications as prescribed by a doctor. Sincerely, Annette Owens, MD PhD
