Question:
I am 28 years old and have been with my husband for over 7 years and have been married for 3 years. I am afraid that I am not physically attracted to my husband anymore. However, I still love him deeply and want my marriage to work.

I suggest you enter some couneling. If there are specific reasons you are no longer attracted to your husband, it's important to air and explore them. However, your ovarian condition, coupled with the medications you are taking, could have a significant effect on your libido. The lack of desire you are attributing to your attitude toward your husband may actually be symptomatic of a hormonal insufficiency. Discuss these matters thoroughly with your physician, and if she or he is uncomfortable talking about sexual matters ...well ... get a new doctor who is not so hampered. Sincerely, Dr. Joy Davidson
