Question:
Hi Doctor I know you told me not to worry anymore and I've been doing so. But I was wondering if bloating (stomach feeling full) is a sign of pregnancy. But I don't have any other symptoms (IE nausea, tender breasts, peeing often) Should I worry about it?

Thanks for writing. Actually bloating is not really a sign of pregnancy. It is usually a sign that you have eaten something that caused gas to build up in the stomach and we feel bloated before it can be released. There are so many conditions where bloating may be caused, but usually a woman who is pregnant, at least in the early stages, doesn't feel bloated. The bloating is up higher and in the stomach, where as the uterus is much lower in the abdomen, almost above the pubic bone a little.

I doubt that you need to worry about being pregnant.
